Abstract

Surah Al-Fatiha is the opening chapter of the Holy Quran and it, among other aspects serves as the index and abstracting of the great message of this Holy Book to the mankind. Tasawwuf, as a methodological treatment of mind and soul finds a special place in the overall message of this Surah. This fact has been pointed out in a number of Quranic Tafseers especially in those available in Pakistan. These findings have covered almost all the aspects which can be termed as ingredients of Tasawwuf. These ingredients, among others, include tazkiya e nafs, taleem e kitab o hikmah, tawakkul al-Allah, taqwa, ijz, razi ba raza e Ilahi, etc. In this research paper, an effort has been made to find and present the above-mentioned ingredients in detail this great Surah. The study has been entailed in the light of authentic Urdu Tafseers available in Pakistan.
