Abstract

The righteous way of a Sufi’s life according to the teachings Quran and Sunna of the holy Prophet ﷺ is called Tassawuf. The sufis are real models of Islam because they love human beings and serve them in the love of Allah almighty. The ancient sufi order is Chishti in the Muslim world. The Chishti Order expanded specially in Subcontinent by Khwaja Moeen-ud-Din chishti. He and his illustrious predecessors in Chishti order were the best examples of true human character. They strictly followed the teachings of the Holy Quran and the traditions of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, both in letter and spirit, during every step of their life. They had no secrets to preserve; they were straight-forward and truthful. Whatever they thought was right, they advocated it fearlessly before the world. They were great friend and benefactor of the poor, the widows and the orphans. They never refused a demand or disappointed any needy person at their door. They had big kitchens where food was prepared for the poor every day. Whatever income they received, spent it on the needy persons. They also often gave away their own clothes to the poor. They loved every human soul. They were quick in forgiving their enemies. This article aim to highlight the welfare services of Chishti sufis.
