Abstract

This paper describes the life and poetic works of the poet Abu Ya'qub Al Kharimi from early 'Abbasid era. The most of the works of this field contain on the material regarding field elegizing, praising, wisdom, ascetic, pride, description, complaining, courtship, and satire but his poetry has a dominant area which covers wisdom and fearfulness of Allah Almighty. The paper describes his life briefly; then elaborates the concept of wisdom and fearfulness of Allah, and a unique idea of jealousy (Al-Ghairah) through his poetry.
