Baba Fareed Ganj Shakar’s Expertise in Ilm-e-Hadith

Abstract

Baba Fareed Ganj Shakr is a great famous spiritual master of Chishtia school of thought. He spread light of Islam and eliminated the darkness of ignorance by preaching Islamic thoughts. Many of non-believing people embraced Islam because of his sublime character. Besides being a spiritual guide and mentor of immense stature, he was master of Hadith sciences, and served the cause of Islam as an effective Muhaddith of Hadith. When he addressed the people, he quoted Hadith for supporting his conversation. Whenever someone asked a question, he replied in the light of the Quran and Hadith or by using the sayings of the predecessors. This article highlights his love for the Hadith of Holy Prophet and describs how he used Hadith of Holy Prophet in his conversation and speech.
