Criticism on Islamic Tradition of Mystic: An Analytical Study
تصوف کی اسلامی روایت پر نقد: تجزیاتی مطالعہ
Abstract
The source of all the teachings of Islam is the Qur'an and Sunnah. The outward appearance of Shariah is called jurisprudence and the inner reality is called Sufism. From law, he borrowed Islamic philosophy from Greek philosophy and Islamic mysticism from Christian mysticism. He gave Muslims the impression that the whole edifice of Islam was based on the ideas of non-Muslims. Sufism was created. Sometimes Sufism was associated with Christianity and sometimes with Hinduism. The Orientalists succeeded to some extent in their nefarious aims and unfortunately, some of the Muslim leaders were also influenced by this propaganda. Islamic mysticism is derived from the Qur'an and Sunnah and the way of life of the Companions (God be pleased with them). However, the terms Sufism and Sufi did not exist in the Prophet's (Peace be upon him) time; they were coined later. However, it is inappropriate to call Sufism an innovation. Islamic Sufism is the soul of religion and its purpose is self-purification and inner purification. Sufism has a key place in Islamic society. The existence and survival of a society without self-purification, pure thinking and virtuous people is doubtful. It is not correct to call Sufism derived from Persian, Hindi and Christian customs and traditions. Most of the critics erroneously object to Islamic mysticism on the basis of non-Islamic mysticism.
